Belinda Zhawi is a Zimbabwe born, London based, writer, poet, performer and educator. Most of her work focuses on her memories of living in rural and urban Zimbabwe whilst exploring the role this has played in shaping her own narrative. Belinda was a shortlisted Young London Laureates for 2015/16. She has graced stages including Africa Writes, TATE Britain and Bestival. In May 2013, she featured on Channel 4’s Random Acts.
