As their frustration builds, they speculate about their predicament and are forced to interrogate what it means to be British in the 21st century. Ilé la Wà, Yoruba for ‘We are Home’, takes the audience on a funny, emotional and thought provoking rollercoaster ride of drama and poetry. Join us as we explore what it means to insist we are home, when daily experience doesn’t reflect the sentiment.  Ilé la Wà is written by Tolu Agbelusi, directed by award winning Sarah Meadows and includes poetry from acclaimed poets Tshaka Campbell, Russenï Fisher, Jemilea Wisdom Belinda Zhawi and Tolu Agbelusi. Actresses, Flo Wilson and Rudzani Moleya will join Tolu and Russenï for the performance of this piece. This is a production of the Home Is… project presented by Tolu Agbelusi, generously funded by the Arts Council England and supported by Apples and Snakes and Counterpoint Arts.
